Rice - Producer/Director/Sound Recorder
In 1994 Dempsey Rice graduated with her MA(Econ) in Visual
Anthropology from The University of Manchester in England
where she completed her short film As Long As They're Muslim.
Since December of 1994 she has been working in the documentary
film industry in New York City. She began working on Daughter
of Suicide in January 1996 and recieved funding from Home
Box Office, The Jerome Foundation, The Lucius and Eva Eastman
Fund and R.E.M. Daughter of Suicide marks her debut as a documentary
feature director.

Seidel - Editor
Dena Seidel has been editing documentaries and indie films
in New York City for the last 11 years. Most recently, she
co-produced, edited and wrote four films with Jim Lipscomb
for the Discovery Channel and Turner Broadcasting. She was
a producer/editor for the NY Times Science Times series for
the Learning Channel. Ms.Seidel has also edited documentaries
for National Geographic Explorer, ABC, Front-Line, ESPN, The
Outdoor Life Channel and Channel 13's City Arts series. Carrier:
Fortress at Sea earned her a New York International Television
Award for Best Editing.

Denault - Director of Photography
Jim Denault has been working as a DP in New York City since
1993. His recent feature credits include Kim Pierce's Boys
Don't Cry, Avi Nesher's Taxman, Wonsuk Chin's Too Tired to
Die, Michael Almereyda's latest film Trance and his 1996 film
Nadja (nominated, 1996 IFP Independent Spirit Award - Best
Cinematography), Alexander Rockwell's Louis & Frank, Jill
Sprecher's The Clockwatchers, Nick Gomez's illtown and Adrienne
Shelly's Sudden Manhattan. Selected short films include Hal
Hartley's The Book of Life and Su Friedrich's Hide and Seek.
ndrea Meyer
- Associate Producer
Andrea Meyer is a freelance writer and producer who has been
working in the film industry in New York since 1995. In 1997,
she produced a short narrative film called Box Suite with
director David Von Ancken and co-produced and programmed the
Avignon/New York Film Festival. Prior to Daughter of Suicide,
she associate produced a promotional film profiling thirty
recording artists for RCA Records. Andrea has written about
film for indieWIRE, the Independent Film and Video Monthly,
Time Out New York, and the New York Post. She has a Masters
in English from NYU.
